When 7,000 airline passengers were diverted on 9/11, a tiny town in Newfoundland welcomed them with open arms. Locals didn’t hesitate to invite the “come from awayers” into their homes and their lives in the days that followed. This Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon sweeps audiences into a communal experience that’s as warm, lively, and spirited as the people of Gander.
