Lieutenant Kijé  is a 1934 comedy.  It was one of Russia's first sound films and has the distinction of being Sergei Prokofiev's first film score. He called composing it a "devilish job. His music doesn't come into the film right away and you'll have to listen for it over the dialogue and other sounds in the film.
