Two of the best opera singers in the country have stepped off the stage to compose and direct a new opera. 

Bass Baritone Damien Jeter composed the music and Denyce Graves, a Mezzo Soprano is directing Loving v. Virginia.  In April the opera makes its world premiere in several locations in  Virginia.  This is the story of Richard and Mildred Loving, who had to go to the US Supreme Court to legalize their interracial marriage.
