Today's show presents Monteverdi as you may never have heard him before, with selections from Missa in illo tempore which he wrote for the Gonzaga court in Mantua in the 1590's, based on a motet by Nicolas Gombert. We'll also hear a few madrigals and selections from his opera L'Orfeo to round out the show.
