Two famous medieval personalities are at the heart of this program: philosopher and teacher Peter Abelard (1079-1142) and visionary and polymath Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179). They both left behind a wealth of poetry and music, and we'll hear some examples performed by Theatre of Voices, Sequentia, and Sabine Lutzenberger.
