This week's show explores how 20th and 21st century composers have interacted with early music. We'll hear a range of examples including Carlos Chavez's arrangement of Buxtehude's Chaconne in E minor, Elam Rotem's contemporary motets written in the style of the early Italian Baroque, and Michael Nyman's adaptations of themes by Henry Purcell in film music.
