We'll pay a musical visit to the north German city of Hamburg to hear works by composers who lived and worked there, including Matthias Weckmann, Hieronymus Praetorius, and Georg Philipp Telemann. We'll also hear selections from Handel's very first opera, Almira, which was first performed at Hamburg's Goose Market Theater in 1705.
