Cheers to a wonderful weekend of wine, food, live music, fireworks, and fun on Galveston Island this Labor Day weekend, September 1-3, 2023. The Galveston Island Wine Festival at Moody Gardens has special activities scheduled Friday through Sunday. Wine lovers, plan your itinerary and book your hotel before it sells out and make it a weekend to remember!

Seven-On-Seven Seafood Extravaganza - a unique experience in which seven top-tier chefs will masterfully create sensational dishes, each paired with a choice from seven of the world's finest wine regions.

Penguins & Pinot: Grand Tasting - A delightful evening awaits as you tour the Oceans of the world with wine, chef presentations, and marine animal encounters all along the way. 

Freedom Stories and Bourbon Tasting - This special evening is a salute to the military. Enjoy an exceptional Bourbon tasting with light Hors d’oeuvres while guest speaker WWII Navy Veteran Eddie Janek shares his stories.

The winner will receive a one night hotel stay and access to select Moody Garden attractions, round of golf for one, and two tickets to the Penguins & Pinot Grand Tasting Event on Saturday, September 2, 2023. Moody Gardens is a public, non-profit educational destination utilizing nature in the advancement of rehabilitation, conservation, recreation, and research. 

Moody Gardens® began in the mid-1980s with a horse barn, a riding arena with a hippotherapy riding program for people with head injuries and an extraordinary vision to create an island tourist destination. Today Moody Gardens® is one of the premier educational/leisure facilities in the Southwest. It also provides horticultural therapy, education and employment for persons with a wide range of physical and emotional disabilities.

Since its inception in 1983 and adoption of an eight phase master plan in 1985, Moody Gardens® has illustrated through its various attractions numerous innovative and creative programs - resulting in a visitation count of approximately 2 million visitors annually.
