THE 3RD ANNUAL

"A NIGHT WITH THE AUSTIN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA"

April 1 | 7:00 p.m. | Lake Travis Performing Arts Center

Mark your calendars for April 1, 2023 when members of the Austin Symphony Orchestra and Lake Travis High School students perform together at the third annual “A Night with the Austin Symphony Orchestra.” Maestro Peter Bay will conduct the performance with participation by Anna Macias, Director for the Lake Travis High School Orchestra and Richard Hicks, Director for the Lake Travis High School Band. The special concert, brought to you by the City of Lakeway Arts Committee, will take place at the Lake Travis Performing Arts Center at 7pm on Saturday, April 1st.  

This magical night begins with a performance by the Austin Symphony Orchestra of Beethoven’s Egmont Overture and continues with combined performances of the ASO and the Lake Travis High School orchestra playing pieces by Schubert and Elgar. The night will crescendo to a collaborative performance with the Austin Symphony Orchestra and over three dozen Lake Travis High School musicians featuring Symphony No. 9 in E Minor, “From the New World”  by Dvorak.

With our majestic Hill County views and spectacular Lake Travis sunsets, Lakeway is a beautiful area that inspires many locals to be creative.

Founded in 2015 by local residents, the Lakeway Arts District was created to provide a source and center for all the Arts and Cultural events happening in Lakeway and its surrounding areas. After living here for years, we found that unless you drive very, very slowly on Lakeway Boulevard or Lohmans Crossing, it was not easy to read the upcoming events banners that are posted along the roadway. So in order to make it easier for all residents, we created the Lakeway Arts District to showcase all the Arts and Cultural event and calendar info anyone could need. We have all the latest news on local happenings, a calendar for upcoming events, and a free Artist Directory listing all the talented creative folks who live in our area.
