THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP

WINTER STORM RELIEF BENEFIT CONCERT

Friday, February 26 at 8:00 p.m. | Virtual Benefit Event

Austin Chamber Music Center, Austin Classical Guitar, Conspirare, and KMFA Classical 89.5 have teamed up for The Power of Friendship, a very special livestream concert to raise funds to support the relief efforts of local charities from the recent winter storms.

Last week millions of Texans endured a historic winter storm, power outages, freezing pipes, and loss of water supply. This week as temperatures have risen and power and water are restored there are countless stories of friends and neighbors helping one another. This is the Power of Friendship.

Many have experienced great loss and will be rebuilding in the coming months. The community is invited to come together for a special virtual performance by Oliver Rajamani live from the Draylen Mason Music Studio at KMFA, along with appearances from Craig Hella Johnson and Conspirare, Michelle Schumann, Matthew Hinsley, Miró Quartet, Thomas Burritt, Devin Gutierrez, and more.

The power of music can do good in the world. The concert is free, but donations will be gratefully accepted to help support the recovery effort. All proceeds will be evenly divided between community-based nonprofit organizations helping those in need including Black Leaders Collective Fund, Central Texas Food Bank and Impact Now Dove Springs.
