KMFA'S KIDS ON KEY PRESENTS
NOON TUNES SUMMER MIDDAY SERIES
JULY 14 | JULY 28 | AUGUST 11
SUPPORTED BY ALLY MEDICAL EMERGENCY ROOM AND WATERLOO AUDIOLOGY
Summer in Austin is hot, but KMFA's studio is cool, the snacks are free, and Bugs Bunny is waiting. Bring the kids (and yourself) to another installment of Noon Tunes, our free family summer series that pairs great cartoons with great music.
This month's program features three more classic Merrie Melodies cartoons, each built around beloved works from the classical repertoire. Watch Bugs Bunny turn a piano recital completely upside down in Rhapsody Rabbit, set to Franz Liszt's dazzling Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. Then join the Three Little Pigs as they outsmart the Big Bad Wolf through a whirlwind of familiar classical favorites in Pigs in a Polka. The finale is "Rabbit of Seville," where Bugs gives Elmer Fudd the most unforgettable haircut in cartoon history, set to Rossini's Barber of Seville overture.
KMFA's host of Saturday Matinee and KMFA by Request, and Manager of Education and Outreach, Guillermo Delgado, will be your guide—offering just enough context to help families hear how these composers inspired some of animation's funniest moments.
Last but certainly not least, enjoy a sing-along with members Cover to Cover, perfect for the whole family!
Free snacks, cookies, and activities begin before the show. No tickets to buy, no dress code, and no shushing.
Brought to you by Ally Medical Emergency Room and Waterloo Audiology.
