STRING THEORY FEATURING INVOKE

JUNE 6 & 7 | DADALAB

On June 6-7, Inversion’s highly-anticipated collaboration with Invoke string quartet closes out our Tenth season with String Theory, featuring musical storytelling by our professional mixed (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) ensemble. 

Hear world premiere performances of works by local composers Adrienne Inglis, Marjorie Halloran, and Evan Blaché as well as other choral and string pieces. The concert highlights the core of our mission: the care for humanity and the world around us. String Theory hopes to raise awareness and to inspire and encourage all of us to see how we are all part of one string vibrating on different frequencies, in order to see the essence of what makes us human. A portion of ticket sales goes to our Inversion Cares partner, Women's Storybook Project, which helps connect children with their incarcerated mothers through the joy of literature.

dadaLab - on June 6 (Sat, 7pm) & June 7 (Sun, 4pm), 70 minutes including a 15-minute intermission.

Inversion is a collection of vocal ensembles that focus primarily on new music composed within the past 10 years, with a mission to create art that intersects with and positively impacts humanity. Inversion commissions and performs new works by local musicians as well as U.S. composers and beyond. We exist to make underrepresented voices heard, creating a platform for varied expression by living composers that is accessible to all audiences. Every concert includes a partnership with a non-profit that reflects our core values – ecology, LGBTQIA+ rights, social and racial justice, and mental health awareness.

There are three ensembles within Inversion: Our pro mixed ensemble, our pro treble ensemble Da Capo, and our community choir for singers who are 50+ Coda.
