Austin District Music Teachers Association (ADMTA) is pleased to announce the inaugural year of a new competition in partnership with Austin Steinway Piano Gallery. The Steinway Piano Gallery Concerto Competition will give young pianists the opportunity to perform the great works of the piano concerto literature and receive adjudication and critiques from outstanding artist-teachers. Winners will be featured in a recital performing on Steinway instruments in Jessen Auditorium at the University of Texas Butler School of Music in June of 2017. This performance is free and open to the public.

ADMTA would like to thank Steinway Gallery for donating a portion of each sale from April 1- April 9th to ADMTA for monetary reward for winners and for future competitions. Please contact Chair, Stephen Burnaman, spburnaman@aol.com for additional information.

In 2014, ADMTA was awarded 'Best in State Award'.
Local Association member, Martha Hilley, NCTM was the 2014 MTNA Teacher of the Year.
