Museum admission is always free on Thursdays. On the third Thursday of each month, the museum remains open until 9 pm.

The Blanton is located at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Paid parking is available in the Blanton/Brazos Garage on Brazos Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Parking is $4; bring your ticket with you to the front desk of the museum.

Join us for another free music-filled afternoon with the return of rampagers of the alt-classical chamber music scene Invoke. This event is hosted in collaboration with The Austin Chamber Music Center.

*Film Screening: Walkabout

Nicola Roeg’s classic 1971 film tells the story of two children stranded in the Australian Outback. This screening will take place in our auditorium, located in our Smith building across the plaza from the main museum.

*Slow Looking

A series of intimate, 30-minute conversations about a single work of art in the museum’s galleries.
