Join KMFA for Summer Camp: "Kids Recording Kids"

Join Brian Satterwhite, host of Film Score Focus, for this year’s “Kids Recording Kids.” The camp focuses on young people learning about radio, interview techniques and audio production. Camp participants will learn to record live performances in KMFA's Studio 2000, and will produce a radio show and promotional spots.

June 24th through 28th – 8am until 12:30pm (snacks and lunch provided).

8th and 9th grade teens will learn:

Local young musicians will be the campers' recording subjects, and at the end of the week, the teens will have created their very own radio show!
This event is sponsored in part by the Austin Optimist Club. Spaces are limited and only 6 applicants will be chosen to participate. Deadline for application is May 27th, 2013.
The cost of the camp is $200 per camper with lunch provided by donations from local restaurants each day. A limited number of scholarships are available; scholarship information may be found at the end of the application form.
